I don’t see equality…

I am not sure I tried before.

Like many around me,

I assumed…

Life was fair…

People cared for others…

Leaders would put children first…

Public education meant equal opportunity.

I opened a door to walk in,

And could sense the energy bend.

Unequal defended

on unspoken agreement…

Let go?

Who will speak up?

Really?

When?

  4. If we really stop to see, we feel helpless or we feel the need to mobilize. Unfortunately, most feel helpless and simply lament. The poetry is the first step. And a challenge to all.
On another tact, I really like the images that you’ve interspersed among the words. Very nice synergy there.

  5. Something to think about…seems we always wait for someone else.
