of a reechoed sound

long hanging in the air

or in the ground.

Seeds planted,

leaving a lasting round

sources not to be found.

Never leaving, going nowhere

continue to surround

Come down to the sound

to the smallest degree

Come down

and feel the

Reverberations with me.

If you chose to hide

them now,

Remember and know

never leave,

take on the life of a lie,

and continue

to grow.

  5. I was puzzled by they ‘take on the life of a lie and continue to grow”. It was an unexpected twist to what seemed like an ode to the impact memorials can have, Otherwise, I like the way you have interspersed your photos with your words.

    • I was thinking of the lie of omission, how what is not said can grow very large and create many problems. It wasn’t really a thought about memorials, as much as everything we do has a ripple effect long after we are gone.
