You are sleeping your life away,

my father would always say

not

being there while I traveled in my time.

Of  darkness, upon waiting.

To  enter the dimension only as others

begin leaving.

To remain for,

inside,

the playground of spirit

while energy swirls beneath

the ruffles on my gown.

Passing back through the soft light

of the cotton shades

to reenter.

  1. I'm in my 20s and basically sleep my life away as the title says. I stay up watching movies until 4 sometimes 5am, and I drag myself out of bed by 2pm. I am bored with life, unemployed, living with the parents. It's depression…and as unhealthy as it is, it is hard to break this bad habit.
